Lijiang, China 2008. Before I saw these empty Vodka bottles, I thought AK-47 was a name used for Russian Kalashnikov rifle only. Uploaded this photo some months ago but saved in tumblr draft folder and decided to post it today when I just read an article twitted by New York Magazine says “Russia Claims U.S. Sanction Are Driving Up AK Prices”. I believe some Scotch bottles also mixed in there and you knew already what’s the referendum results.
Pentax MV1, Variozenitar-K 2.8/3.5 25-45. Home brewed Rodinal + Chinese Era film 100.
Moved to Shanghai suburb recently so as to save some renting cost. The last thing I did before then has anything related to photography was uploaded a slide video to youtube and vimeo with a collection of black-and-white film photography shooting at a Shanghai Tango club. Some films were either long expired or been X-ray scanned at airport made photos come out with heavily grainy looks.
Shanghai, 2014. I can’t figure out a better title to describe the guy in this photo playing his cell phone while waiting for next tango dancing, Astor Piazzolla’s “Milonga for Three” came to my mind, but Tango was never designed for solo dancing.
